I was nineteen years old leading worship on Sunday morning and running the line at a small airport during the week. I thought I had it figured out. I had a plan, a decent voice, and no idea that a man can do everything that looks right and still be hollow underneath.
It took me most of my twenties to find that out.
Somewhere in there I stopped performing. Not out of wisdom. The applause I had built my entire identity on stopped coming, and a man living off approval finds out very quickly how little is underneath it when the supply gets cut. I had never once asked God what I was for. I had only ever asked people what they wanted from me, and then become that.
So I went and did the work. I earned two degrees, magna cum laude on both. I spent four years teaching men who had been told their whole lives they were not capable of anything, and I watched what happens to a man the first time somebody believes he is. That taught me more about leadership than any book I have read since.
In 2023 I started building. Within weeks I was keeping the books for a mobility company here in Georgia. That November I got married. In January of 2024 I became CEO of that company, which my partner and I had bought. It was founded in 1990 and it came with real customers, real revenue, and a stack of problems nobody discloses in a purchase agreement. We rebuilt the pricing, the payroll, the compliance, the sales process, the field operations, and the books underneath all of it.
In November of 2024 my youngest daughter was born.
Here is why I am telling you any of it. I have watched men decide at thirty-five that the story is already written. I have watched men with good jobs and clean records quit on themselves harder than men who had nothing. The thing that ends a man is almost never the circumstance. It is the day he agrees with it.
I lead worship at a church in Maysville on Sundays. I run companies during the week. I do men's work because somebody did it with me when I had nothing to offer in return, and because I have seen what happens to a man who has never once told another man the truth.
That is what this whole site is for. Faith, because it is the ground the rest of it stands on. Finance, because provision is a leadership function and almost nobody was taught the mechanics. Focus, because a man who cannot govern a Tuesday will not govern a decade, and I have wasted more Tuesdays than most.
Strong men. Strong homes. Strong businesses. The order matters. A man who cannot lead himself will not lead a home. A man who cannot lead a home has no business leading people whose mortgages run through his judgment.
I am not further along than you. I am just further along than I was, and I know exactly what it cost to get here.
